London During the Blitz - A Conversation with Bob Gulvin Sunday, November 12th   3:00pm - 5:00pm Location: The Legion, Petrolia Cost: $30 + HST Seats Available: 150 Proceeds from this talk will be donated to the Petrolia Legion Registration Opens: Monday, October 2 @ 7:00pm ​ Wars are often portrayed as a series of great campaigns led by famous generals, as dramatic turning points and cataclysmic battles. What about the perspectives of the millions of civilians affected by war? For an afternoon, we will explore the London Blitz of WW2 as experienced through the eyes and ears of Bob Gulvin. Civilians hiding in suffocating shelters, children separated from their families, women called to work long hours away from their homes - daily events, challenges, and choices that ordinary people had to make in London during WW2. This is not a *traditional* Guild Chocolates tasting. This event will consist of a 90 minute conversation between Bob Gulvin and Chef Jaclyn, coupled with a slideshow. There will be a light reception (catered by Guild Chocolates) following the talk.
