The 216 LOUNGE is so proud and excited to present the incredible award winning STANLEY BROWN BLUES BAND on Saturday August 5 at 8 pm to close. NO COVER. The Stanley Brown Blues Band is a high energy jump-swing combo fronted by STANLEY BROWN performing lead guitar/lead vocals, with STEPHEN ASH on bass. Stanley is a five time nominee and 2017 winner of the prestigious Jack Richardson London Music Award for best Rock & Blues musical artist. Stanley Brown brings over thirty years of experience to the stage with his playing style rooted in blues, blues rock and swing blues. He has performed over this time with several successful bands including The Rockin DeSoto's, The Roadmasters, The Nervous Wrecks and The Diamond Blues Band. Stanley's playing style is heavily influenced not only by great guitar players but also from his love of horn and piano riffing which when combined with his constantly walking rhythm style and punchy vocals, make for a big sound and lively performance. Stanley has shared the stage with bluesmen such as Mac Arnold of Muddy Waters band fame, Funk Brother and Hollywood walk of famer Gary Martin, and 2X Canadian Juno award winner Jack DeKeyzer.
